Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro Lens Specifications
Want to bring small things into full-sized view? Turn to the Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 compact macro lens, which can uncover detail that would otherwise be impossible to detect by the naked eye. Ideal for shooting extremely minute subjects such as insects or the petals of a small flower, the lens offers a nine-element design and a floating optical system that focuses down from infinity to one-half life size (0.5x). Despite these macro optics, however, the lens also functions beautifully as a general-purpose normal lens. And should you want to focus down to life size (1:1), you can add an optional Life Size Converter EF to increase the working distance--a valuable feature in close-up shooting. Other details include a 46-degree diagonal angle of view, a 0.8-foot close focusing distance, and a one-year warranty.

EOS Canon 600D 50MM f1.8 II Test. Video Clips. Duration : 2.95 Mins.
Just purchase this today and today it has been tested. Grading, Flaring, DOF, the low light f stop test...Loving it...Definitely. All are cinestyle PS. Except the last one which is superflat. Lesson learned(PROS & CONS): 1:Bring a Tripod for this prime lens. This lens doesn't have any IS (Image Stabilizer) on it which makes it difficult for the video not to shake although my hand is already wooden still.. 2: Its not wide if there isn't enough space. 3: The lens is sharpppppp...way better than the kit lens. I learn that to shoot video sharper you must have light source a lot and this lens can accept more light thus making it more sharp than the kit lens. Now I understand the fstop hype all about. Not just that, a zoom lens also tends to be soft if you play with the zoom too much so a prime would be much better as of control. 4: The lens DOF is too shallow and quite hard to follow focus if the stops are low. MUSIC: 'Light Up The Night' by Protomen Get the songs free by typing Protomen on google and type in your email onto their website. - I know we are all waiting for red scarlet even with the fixed lens..but this will suffice with post the way I see it..and if scarlet accept canon lenses, this one will not be to no avail.
In this video, we respond to numerous requests to review this popular lens. We take the 24-70mm out with a 5D mark II at midnight to show the pros and cons of this L lens.

Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras Specifications
This compact and lightweight EF 75-300mm telephoto zoom lens is ideal for shooting sports, portraits, and wildlife. The lens is distinguished by a newly developed micro ultra-sonic monitor (USM) that makes autofocusing quicker and quieter, along with an improved zoom mechanism that includes a silver ring on the front for a luxurious touch. The micro USM makes this version of the lens particularly suitable for applications that require a fast autofocus, such as sporting events or wildlife shoots. Best of all, the USM version shares many of the same features that makes the non-USM lens so popular, such as a compact size, a close focusing range, and accessory compatibility. As with all Canon lenses, this unit carries a one-year warranty.

Canon 35mm f1.4 lens review - DSLR FILM NOOB Video Clips. Duration : 2.58 Mins.
www.dslrfilmnoob.com People always ask me to tell them what my number one most used lens is. Well with out a doubt the canon 35mm f1.4 is probably the most used lens in my collection on a crop sensor camera. The Canon 35mm f1.4 is ruffly a 55mm on a crop sensor camera making it an ideal focal length for filming. There are a few lenses in this focal length including the Canon 28mm f1.8, the Sigma 30mm f1.4, and the sigma 28 f1.8 but none of them preform quit as well as the Canon 35mm f1.4. Is the canon 35mm f1.4 worth it? If you have the money then yes, but at a price tag of almost 00 you could buy 3 mid range primes and still have a little bit of money left over. It might be better to have 3 good prime lenses then a single great lens. The Canon 35mm does preform better then any of the other lenses in this focal range, and chances are if your considering it you've probably already made the choice. If you have then you can always pick one up here: www.amazon.com Side note, I got a little lazy with this video and a few shots are blown out, but I didn't have time to go back and re shoot, sorry. Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens for Canon SLR Cameras Overview
A highly practical medium telephoto lens with superb delineation and portability. Images are sharp and clear at all apertures. Through computer simulations, the lens has been designed to give beautiful background blur. Since the front lens group does not rotate during focusing special filter effects are not affected.
Just a few shots at different ranges and stops. This zoom is pretty good with it wide angle of view range (as a 28-216mm on a FF Camera), but you have to stop it down between f5.6 and f8.0 to get the best results. Otherwise it can produce unsharp corners (especially at 18 mm wide open). The sweet spot is around 35mm with best performance in terms of center and corner sharpness. At 135mm you get the best results with f8. So, for every day usage I´m satisfied and would recommend it, but the emphasis is placed on "day". At 18mm there is vignetting wide open, barrel distortion and noticeable chromatic aberration. Vignetting can be reduced by stopping down a stop and is eliminated at f8. Best thing is the image stabilisation (Canon says up to 4 stops) and the AF function. Every clip was made with AF before shooting. All untouched (no sharpness or cc in post). Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Standard Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras Overview
The Canon EF 24-70mm standard zoom lens does what many pros thought couldn't be done--it replaces the L-series 28-70mm f/2.8 lens with something even better. The lens offers extended coverage to an ultra-wide-angle 24mm, making it ideal for digital as well as film shooters. The new processing unit, meanwhile, makes the autofocus (AF) faster than ever. And thanks to the two aspherical elements and a totally new UD glass element, the optics are far superior to the earlier lens. Sealed and gasketed against dust and moisture, the EF 24-70mm lens carries a one-year warranty.

Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Standard Zoom Lens for Canon DSLR Cameras Overview
Compact, lightweight and a wide magnification range - this standard zoom lens features a wide focal length range from normal to telephoto equivalent to 29-320mm in the 35mm format. It features an Optical Image Stabilizer for up to 4-stops of effective correction even at full zoom. Since Canon's optical image stabilization system is in the lens, not in the camera, you can see the stabilized, steadier images through the viewfinder. And the circular aperture can give beautiful background blur effects. This new wide zoom ratio EF-S lens delivers excellent high-speed performance at an affordable price.

We're feeling artsy-fartsy with our new camera, so sorry if this isn't our regular eatyourkimchi-esque kind of movie! We really like how old Korean men get together to play games that - we think - are like chess. Anyone know the rules of these games? Or even what they're called? What's cool is not only that they play the games, but that so many people gather round to watch them play. So we gathered round with them, and made this video. Shot with a Canon 550D and 50mm f/1.8 lens. Edited in Final Cut.
Equipped with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer (IS) technology, the Canon EF-S 18-55mm standard zoom lens is ideal for just about any application. IS technology compensates for camera shake by providing the equivalent effect of a shutter speed up to four stops faster. This allows you to take sharp handheld shots even in low-light conditions--a must for sports and nature photography. The lens also offers an aspherical lens element that corrects for aberration, thus producing a topnotch image throughout the zoom range, and a circular aperture that exquisitely renders out-of-focus backgrounds. Despite its minimal size, weight, and cost, the lens expands the picture-taking possibilities any time slow shutter speeds are needed.

Canon T2i with FD to EF adapter video Video Clips. Duration : 2.27 Mins.
From 1971 to 1990, most cameras from Canon used the FD system for their lenses. Today there are many of these lenses on the market at lower prices compared to the new EF. For video, these lenses are still ok. After testing several adapters with and without corrective lens, I opted for Zykkor, as the best option, in addition to being extremely cheap too! This video is a simple test I did at night with the only FD lens that I still have available (a Tokina 32mm f2.8). Soon I will do further testing with other FD lens I'll acquire.
